Inner Hollow Personality: -- Step Into My Life History:Shinigami Life (Forgotten): - Spoiler:
Growing up in central Rukongai, Raum had never known such a wondrous life in his early days. His father, a mathematician, taught Raum everything he knew. From simple linear to complex differential equations, Raum absorbed it all and gobbled up his father's knowledge. He knew he was still at home because, well, his parents did not have enough money to support his schooling. Tired of being kicked around by the monetary difficulties, Raum left his family to join the shinigami academy.
Entering the academy, Raum immediately delved into the classes, having an advantage with his father's help. His primary subject was kido, excelling over everyone in the class immediately. His distant and eccentric attitude caused many of the students to stray away from him, although he tried to look for positives.
Going through the rough patches of school, Raum finally made it out on the top of his class. His arrogant and eccentric attitude never gave him many friends, except for a man named Aero, who would eventually become 4th division leader and his best friend. Graduation occurred and life went on, Raum managed to make it into the Kido Corps as a smaller member of the organization.
Life went as plain as it could be, trapped in the Kido Corps and working in a small office all day. Unfortunately, the money had lost its value...Where had his family gone? They stopped sending him letters after months, the money he sent was lost in translation. The time had finally come where Raum had slipped, searching frantically for the family he had once supported. Finally, after a few days, Raum gazed on his desk at a single white envelope. It couldn't be good, Raum never got mail. The plainness of the letter made his stomach quake as he slipped the letter open. It read:
"We're sorry to inform you of the accident at hand. Mr. and Mrs. Vauxhall's bodies had been recovered in the outskirts of the Rukongai. We express our concern deeply for your loss, if you have questions please contact us.
~ 4th Division"
The light faded from his eyes, words from the letter seemed to eat them away. What could he do now? A mindless drone of the Seireitei, working for nothing but himself. Raum needed something to fill the gap, which the Seireitei had tried to do. The Captain Commander had ordered a switch, transferring Raum to the 12th division. A change in scenery couldn't hurt anyone? In fact, it was something better for Raum to do.
Recently, the hopelessness in his life had become the catalyst to nightmares. Every night, Raum had a new dream, but with a similar focal point. They always had the same setting, and a figure glaring down at him. It had no eyes, and its entire body was encased in some sort of protective armor. However, Raum could tell what it was trying to say. It wanted to fill the void in his heart, Raum had obtained his shikai.
Continuing his days in the 12th division, Raum put his aptitude to the test and became a workaholic. He didn't know what he was working for, but there was still a small glinting light in the back of his mind and heart. Recently, he had caught the eye of another shinigami, a girl that had tugged on his heart strings in the past. They mingled, bonded, all while Raum slaved in the depths of the laboratory. His heart was still stuck in the darkness of it, amidst the inventions and projects he had created.
Excelling in the ranks, he had eventually received the eye of the Captain Commander. There was an available captain position in the division, and Raum was the perfect candidate. It was unusual, however, being the only captain to have not received bankai before being promoted. Either way, Raum had to celebrate.
Going back to the only home he had, Raum wasn't greeted with a party, but with the signs of an empty house. Where had his lover gone? Why was he left alone again? There were so many things that had left him questioned. Drinking himself into a coma, Raum lay down on the wooden floor and gazed into the blank ceiling. He was not one to give up so easily, nothing like this would stop him. The girl hadn't ran away from him, her stuff was still present in the house they possessed.
Today, he still searches, looking for the life he had once cherished and lost. It still dwells in his heart, awaiting the day that it can reawaken itself. But the question is how? Pondering, Raum runs the 12th division with a cold heart, willing to do whatever it takes to destroy the things he hates.
Death and the Rebirth: - Spoiler:
Raum was one of the leaders to charge into the onslaught that was considered Seireitei's most grand betrayal, Katsu Nori Noboru leading the espada into a reckless assault. Finding their weak point, they unleashed a counterattack and emerged victorious. There was still something left that Raum had needed to do. Searching Hueco Mundo, he had found her. The long lost memories of his love, amongst other burdens he had carried throughout his shinigami lifetime. Pain shot through his body, something about the area that made him cringe. With a band placed over his heart, he was swallowed into hollowfication.
The fight with his own darkness was an issue, of course. Like anyone else in that situation, his power was matched and unlike the clone he was becoming tired. Yuuyake spoke to him, hinting at the many things Raum had learned over his lifetime. With a short extended time period, Raum mastered a completely different zanpaktou...or so it seemed. Yuuyake had transformed, giving him the extra power needed to supress his hollow.
Finding himself shrouded in vizard powers, Raum left the Soul Society. Keeping in touch with few people, he attempts to make a serum that can kill off the hollow in him and leave himself alive. RP Sample:- Spoiler:
Darkness enveloped the lab, and in the corner you could see nothing but the radiance of the operating light. Standing under it was Raum decorated in an apron, the scalpel in his hand reflecting small beams of light in the corners of the room. Underneath him lay a corpse of a shinigami, tattered and beaten. The fresh blood in his hands gleamed as he took the scalpel out of the body, his eyebrows raised. Nothing....Nothing but shit!... he threw the scalpel in the corner of the room, the lonely echoes bounced off the walls. He covered the body with a small sheet, still cursing underneath his breath, and shuffled over to a nearby sink. Taking his latex gloves off with a few *snaps*, he ran his dirty hands and arms underneath the faucet. The water was cool against his skin, as it washed away the failure he had once again come by. There was a stillness in the air, a hell butterfly entered the room, landing on his shoulder. With a devious smile, Raum shut off the sink and took off his apron, rushing out into the pouring rain that consumed the Seireitei.
The rain pattered on the shoulders of Raum, his haori now covered him, giving him little protection in the constant downpour. He walked through the streets with a blank expression, the few people that were rushing back to their respective homes gave him unapproved looks and scoffs. Raum did nothing but frown back at them as they passed by, his heart set on the small mission given to him. Finally, the cascading huts and houses stopped traveling beside him, and Raum was staring directly into a sea of trees. He snorted loudly and grinned, Raum could smell the spiritual pressure from a mile away. Picking his pace back up again, he made his way into the trees, his vision filled with greens and the sound of rain now muffled by the branches that hang over him. The sounds of the grass catching his heels bounced in his head suddenly stopped, Raum found himself standing in a small opening. Gazing around, Raum squinted his eyes to see none other but a giant hollow approaching the scene. The constant rain pattern was abruptly interrupted by the screech of the hollow as it approached Raum.
His face still blank, without looking down, Raum popped his blade from it's sheathe. His eyes were still set on the savage hollow, it's vicious face was attached to an ape-like body, claws extending from its hands. Before it could pounce, Raum dashed away, rolling in the grass beside him, the water making his fabric swell to the touch. He sat up and flew towards his target, Sekishou gripped in his right hand and his left hand opened and facing its target. He approached the hollow and cranked back his right arm, releasing a slash upon the hollow's leg. It roared in agony, the trees in the area shook with fury. Feeling a bit of triumph, Raum didn't notice the claw traveling towards him. It ripped the top part of his shoulder open, the gash leaking blood down his haori, following the droplets of rain. He gripped the gash with his left hand, speeding towards the target once again. It slammed the ground in front of Raum, causing him to lose balance and fall on his ass.
He scoffed with distaste and rose back to his stance, facing the large hollow once more. The beads of sweat weren't apparent from the drops of rain, but Raum was tired already. I REALLY need to get out more... He bounded to the hollow, opening with a small slash, severing its other leg. He stood back and gazed at the hollow, assuming it would be immobilized by now. Unfortunately, it was persistent, flailing its arms at Raum left and right. The relentless strikes became overwhelming for Raum to dodge. Jumping over to take refuge on a nearby rock, he knelt down for a moment, thoughts swirling through his head. Interrupted by the injured screeching hollow, he frowned and lifted himself slowly back to his feet. Diffuse, Sekishou. His blade began to glow with intensity as it rest in both of his hands. The light changed shape and before long, Raum was wielding a large scythe. White dominated the staff, while black chains coiled around it, leading up into Raum's arm.
The dark blade curved out past the staff, covered in the droplets of rain that ominously fell above it. He slung it over his shoulder, his right hand still gripping it tightly. Raum's eyes flew up and down, he processed his next movements yet again. Using shunpo, Raum appeared to the side of the hollow and performed a vicious uppercut, taking off the hollow's entire left arm. Without moving, Raum threw his scythe into the air as the chain wrapped around the body of the creature, disabling any movement whatsoever. He walked to the front of the hollow, staring it straight in the eyes as it wailed loudly. He took his scythe with the little chain he had left, and cracked him on the mask with the crescent blade that lie on the end. Screeching stopped penetrating Raum's ears, as he noticed a man from his division approach him carefully. The scythe he held now back in its sealed state, Raum waited for the shinigami to say something, but his eyes were focused on the monster that lay before him. Raum detached the chain from his scythe and handed it to the shinigami Please deliver my "prize" to the Research and Development Institute as soon as possible. the words flowed from his mouth in a neutral, dominating tone. Without looking at the shinigami, he tore a piece of cloth from his haori and tied the gash on his shoulder up walking into the dense blanket of trees, hoping to redeem his failures with the new subject arriving in the institute.
